Judge Denies Motion to Stay in Lawsuit Concerning the Sexual Assault of a Minor
Gideon Asen represents a woman who has accused a family friend of raping her as a child.
The defendant moved to stay the case, based on the theory that his testimony in the civil case could incriminate him in a future criminal case. On November 23, 2021, Judge John A. Woodcock Jr. denied the defendant’s motion.
