The Best Medical Malpractice Podcasts of 2021

If you spend a lot of time in the car, you’re probably always on the lookout for new podcasts to listen to. We thought we’d share with you some of our favorite podcasts on medical malpractice. Whether you are a lawyer or you just want to learn more about medical errors and the problems in our healthcare system, there is something below you will enjoy.

  1. Dr. Death (Wondery)

A wildly popular podcast from Wondery, Season 1 of Dr. Death tells the incredible story of a neurosurgeon who killed and maimed dozens of patients. The podcast explores not only why this doctor hurt so many people, but how the hospitals and health care system enabled his conduct. Season 2, which concerns a hematologist/oncologist who gave chemotherapy to patients who didn’t actually have cancer, is also very good.

  1. Elawvate (Ben Gideon and Rahul Ravipudi)

We recognize we may not be objective here, but we believe that Elawvate, co-hosted by Ben Gideon and Rahul Ravipudi, has to make the list. Elawvate is geared towards trial lawyers who want to hear from the best lawyers in the nation about what it means to be a phenomenal trial lawyer. Many of the guests are experienced medical malpractice attorneys and we believe the show is a must-listen for any medical malpractice attorney.

  1. Face the Jury (Lloyd Bell)

Lloyd Bell is a skilled malpractice attorney from Georgia who, along with Ben, is a member of the Inner Circle of Advocates. While Face the Jury discusses legal strategy and theory, Lloyd’s podcast is more focused on the dangers in the modern healthcare system.

  1. Medical Mal Insider (CRICO)

CRICO is the medical malpractice insurer for Harvard’s medical institutions. This podcast is intended as an educational resource for physicians hoping to avoid medical malpractice lawsuits. Nevertheless, this podcast is an excellent resource for anyone interested in learning about different types of medical malpractice and how patient care can be improved.

  1. Bad Batch (Wondery)

This disturbing podcast concerns patients who ended up in critical condition as a result of a dangerous stem cell treatment pitched to them as a miracle cure. The podcast provides a troubling look at how non-regulated medical treatments can wreak havoc on the American public.

  1. Trial Lawyer Nation (Michael Cowan)

Michael Cowan is a talented trial lawyer and author. His podcast, Trial Lawyer Nation, is one of the most successful podcasts geared towards trial lawyers. Like Elawvate, Trial Lawyer Nation is not a medical malpractice podcast per se, but Michael has interviewed many of the country’s best medical malpractice attorneys.
